King PTA will be discussing the 2016-17 budget at our first meeting in September. Once it has been voted on and approved, it will be located here.
Please read below for the 2015-16 budget.
King PTA exists to support and supplement the academic, extracurricular, social, and cultural activities and assets of King School. Additionally, in order to pursue the values of the school community, King PTA makes explicit efforts to encourage the development of a strong and diverse community and recognize the rich cultural history of the school and surrounding neighborhood. As such, the 2015-16 budget for the King PTA allocated our available resources toward programs, materials, and activities which demonstrate our values and priorities.
This budget reflects the priorities of the King PTA:
- Supporting and Supplementing IB and Arts programming at King School through high-quality, student centered instruction and extracurricular activities
- Providing engaging family programming and events that facilitate interaction and build connections among all members of the King community
- Providing programming that recognizes the broad diversity of the King community and provides students with education about the cultural context of their school and neighborhood as well as other cultures from around the world
In June 2015, the PTA adopted a budget for the 2015-16 academic year. At that time, several of the PTA committees had not yet met nor completed their full schedule of activities for the upcoming academic year. Therefore, the PTA leadership planned to re-visit the budget for revisions in October of 2015.
